To Reward or Not To Reward

This subject has been discussed in every children’s ministry conference I have attended with many diverse views. Each person must decide what is best for ministry at church and at home with their own children. Today it is hard to impress kids because they have so much. We need to find a balance between making them feel proud of their accomplishments and creating a dependency on rewards.

• Involve your leaders in the recruitment process
• Present Children’s Ministry opportunities to your congregation
• Talk to people one on one
• Have a clear job description
• Have a clear plan
