Are You a Loving Leader?

Are You a Loving Leader?

It is hard to lead people you do not really care about. How do you show love to the ones you lead?
Here are a few characteristics of a loving leader:

1.Value trust over power.
Yes, I have been bitten by this in the past. However, when you have to lead with power and control you make your team members feel that you do not trust them. Without trust it is hard to love.

2.Emphasize grace over law.
Do not judge but believe the best. Look for the good in people not the negative. Forgive quickly and move on.

3.Live a lifestyle of generosity.
Being generous comes from a heart of generosity. Be willing…

Who are excellent leaders?
•They know what they are doing and communicate what they are doing.

What If?

“When He entered the house, the blind men approached Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?”      Matthew 9:28

Sometimes Jesus answers our questions with questions.  He often does this to help us discover the depth of our own faith.  Jesus is never satisfied with shallow followers, and no follower of Jesus will be…

Passion in Your Life and Work

Passion in Your Life and Work

I have said for years there is nothing to do but bury a person when he or she has no passion.

Three Ways to Stir the Passion:

1.Remember the defining points of passion in your life.
•What was something you experienced that moved you?
•What makes you angry?
•What makes you cry?

2.Develop relationships with passionate people. Passion is contagious.
•Identify at least two people who are very passionate, then schedule some time with them.
•You may be hanging around people that zap the passion from you. What can you do to change that relationship?

3.Make a personal commitment to live with passion.  I have found that most people lack passion because…

Five traits of a Dream Team:

1.Team Unity
Each team member understands the whole is more important than the individual. Great teams exhibit unity. Everyone must be on the same page heading in the same direction.

2.Team Mission
There are not separate agendas on a Dream Team. There is one mission and it is the team’s mission.

3.Team is about “Otherness”
Dream teams demonstrate…
